Dr. Reubens earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Western University of Health Sciences and completed his residency at Boston Medical Center, affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine. There, he received extensive training in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with added credentials in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. During residency, he worked extensively with diabetic limb salvage cases in medically and socially complex patient populations. As Chief Resident, he became the first-ever recipient of the Dr. Geoffrey M. Habershaw Memorial Award for Research and Teaching, recognizing his dedication to advancing research and mentoring junior residents and rotating students. He further refined his surgical expertise through a dual CPME and ACFAS-accredited fellowship at University Hospitals - Richmond Heights Hospital, where he trained in Advanced Foot and Ankle Surgery within a high-volume sports medicine practice, treating athletes and pediatric patients and performing procedures ranging from trauma repair to complex reconstructions using Ilizarov fixation and minimally invasive techniques.
