About Dr. Desirie Skeete

I am Dr. Desirie Skeete, an entrepreneur, author, behavioral-services professional, and the owner of NESS Behavior Consulting and NESS Cares in Hicksville, New York. My professional work is centered on Applied Behavior Analysis, behavioral support, mental health, special education, parent advocacy, and helping families connect with the resources and professionals they need.

One of the most meaningful parts of my work is creating stronger connections among families, educators, behavioral professionals, and community service providers. Through NESS Cares, I have been involved in sensory-resource donations, educational panels addressing mental health and special education, community outreach, and initiatives designed to make information and support more accessible to parents and caregivers.

My commitment to education also extends internationally. I am working on an initiative in Jamaica, West Indies, focused on providing special educators with additional training and resources for supporting children with behavioral needs. I believe that when educators, families, and service providers have the right tools and work collaboratively, they can create more positive and meaningful outcomes for children.

I earned my Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Russell Sage College and my Bachelor of Science in Professional Communications from Farmingdale State College. I have also received an honorary doctorate through TIUA School of Business and was honored with the 2024 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.

Writing is another important part of my professional journey. I am the author of the self-help book Who Do You Think You Are?, available through Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and a co-author of Moguls Unleashed: Secrets of Business Brilliance. Whether through behavioral services, education, writing, community advocacy, or entrepreneurship, my goal is to empower people with information, resources, and opportunities that can make a lasting difference in their lives.

Outside of my professional work, I value spending time with my two daughters, supporting their interests, visiting art museums, and enjoying time at the beach.
