Christina L. Kushnir MD, MPH, FACOG

Las Vegas, NV — Dr. Christina L. Kushnir is a double board-certified gynecologic oncologist and board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with extensive experience in advanced gynecologic care, minimally invasive surgery, and academic leadership. She practiced gynecologic oncology for nine years prior to joining WHASN and is recognized for her clinical expertise across both benign and malignant gynecologic conditions, with a strong focus on precision-based and patient-centered surgical care.

Dr. Kushnir completed her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Johns Hopkins Medical Institution and earned a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed her residency training at the University of Nevada, Reno in Las Vegas and received her medical degree from St. George’s University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California, where she was a Division I soccer athlete, team captain, All-PAC-10 selection, and All-American nominee—an early reflection of the leadership and discipline that define her medical career.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Kushnir serves as an assistant professor at UNLV School of Medicine and Touro University and holds multiple leadership and teaching roles within surgical education. She is the past Chair of Gynecology and past Chair of the Robotic Steering Committee at The Valley Medical Center and serves as clinical faculty for Ethicon Surgery, Intuitive Surgical and ConMed. As a proctor and instructor for Intuitive Surgical, she educates physicians nationwide and internationally on advanced robotic techniques. Dr. Kushnir has authored 17 peer-reviewed journal publications and three textbook chapters, further underscoring her commitment to advancing gynecologic care through innovation, education, and clinical excellence.
