He has been married for 31 years to his high school sweetheart and together they have six children. He has 18 years experience in optometry with a focus and specialty of hard to fit contact lenses and corneal refractive therapy (CRT).
He is a member of American Optometric Association, the Arizona Optometric Association and Vision Source.
